Teaching Services Australia provides Band Programs to over 40 Primary schools throughout N.S.W.

 

Generally Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet & Trombone are taught in group lessons of approximately 5 children throughout the day, as well as a band rehearsal before or during school.

If Teaching Services Australia co-ordinates your child's school band program you can find all the necessary information and download the appropriate forms below.

o If your child missed the instrument demonstration concert download the Expression of Interest form and return to your school office within 5 days of demos so your child can be called from class for instrument testing.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Thank you for the expression of interest in your child joining the band program at school and welcome to 'Teaching Services Australia'. Teaching Services Australia is a company which provides band programs throughout greater Sydney and the Central Coast.

At TSA we pride ourselves on providing equitable, enjoyable and effective instrumental music tuition as a stepping stone to further music education or just a fun, social musical experience. For many students, band is the first exposure they have to instrumental music. We aim to give all our students the skills and knowledge necessary to participate in band and hope to inspire them to delve further into the rewarding world of music and the benefits it has to offer.

The following step-by-step guide outlines the steps necessary to complete your child's enrolment process. We understand how overwhelming all this information can be, particularly for new band parents, especially when it comes to choosing instruments and decisions such as 'rent or buy' and 'new or second-hand'. Step 1) Read the Information provided in Introduction, Terms & Conditions

Step 2) Discuss and finalise your child's choice of instrument

Step 3) Fill out the 'Enrolment Details' section of the TSA Enrolment Form

Step 4) Fill out the 'Instrument' section of the TSA Enrolment Form (Note: you must fill out this section of the form even if you are providing your own instrument.)

NOTE: You may also need to download:

-  Instrument Rental Agreement form

-  Instrument Purchase Agreement form

Step 5) Fill out the 'Accessories' section of the TSA Enrolment Form (Note: you must fill out this section of the form even if you are providing your own accessories.)

Step 6) Sign and date the TSA Enrolment Form and return to the address above

- Upon completion of your child's enrolment you will receive an email confirming enrolment details, instrument choice and instrument/accessories order by mid-January, 2011.

- Your school band director will contact you in the first days of term 1 to confirm the first day of lessons. Your child should bring any instrument or accessories they have to school on this day and wait to be called from class for a lesson. If you have ordered an instrument or accessories from TSA, they will be provided at this lesson.
